Busy busy busy

Way too busy with my uni deadlines. I want to make the most of it but its just too much to take in. 

Not much done lately but I'll upload the half track I made for uni project and the concept sofa-jacket.

Colour Studies

Colour studies dump, credits to the photographers. I own nothing. 

I really do think these help you judge colours better. That yellow you see in an image is not really yellow!

Gas station 2 hrs modelling

Modeled for speed modelling challenge on CG Talk, 2 hrs for modelling. 3ds max crashed on me... Ha ha look me trying to gain sympathy. ^_^

The lovely bones: Fan art WIP

Seen one of the wallpapers from the new Lovely Bones movie and I love the colours used in this piece so I decided to repaint it all in the name of art. No tracing and no colour picking allowed. 

I also used a few other stock from DA to put a personal touch to this piece. 

Still in progress....3 hours spent on this so far. 

Half-track half-modelled

I chose a half-track for my uni project this semester, the theme was WWII and I thought it would be a great challenge to model half-track. Have you seen the detail on this render? OMG its neat yo!

Warm up sketch, this time I was practicing depth and scale.

Wish it were home

Still in progress, spend 1 and a half hours on this so far, I like the way its turning out but I can't decide on a colour scheme to keep for this. 

Also drawing a sketched version of this for a contest on DA. Hope to get it finished by tomorrow. 

Flying city speed painting.

Two friends went out to explore the world and just when they lost all hope comes the most beautiful view of this flying city and they couldn't believe their eyes.

Painted in under 2 hours. ;)

G-king

For a change I was really proud of a figure I made out of my head, I hope I keep thinking like this from now onwards. 

G-king is a  young politician who is hard working but doesn't really care what world thinks about his clothing sense.

Managed to get it finished today, I like the concept overall but I know there is a lot of room for improvement in this piece.

Oxyfide

Spent over an hour on this, I love the mech robot, the concept stage for that mech was really interesting. 

I had real fun painting this scene. I'm trying to add more and more depth to every painting i'm sketching at the moment...

Self- Portrait

This man looks nothing like me but its my photo never-the-less. 

I was smiling in the original photo, though this made it look like someone just stole my burger.

I was warming up my Tablet with this image on my desktop but after a few strokes I wanted to carry on working on it. Drawn in under 2 hours.

To be honest I quite like this painting even though the details are missing. ;)

Watched TS the other day and couldn't resist painting relevant stuff. 

Colour  practice mainly on this one. 
The face didn't come out right but its cool.

Calm & quite

Calm & quite, took me 3 hours to paint this, happy with the overall result.

Next time i'll try and not rely much on custom brushes.
